Synopsis

In 1869 Texas, Capt. David Porter (Randolph Scott) -- a native Texan and former Confederate who now dons the Union uniform -- is assigned to bring in murder suspect Ben Westman (Charles McGraw), a Rebel leader Porter knows is innocent. But when he tries to clear Westman's name, Porter lands in deeper trouble in this densely plotted Western. Elisha Cook Jr. and Hugh Sanders co-star as the villainous Standish and Balfour.
