Synopsis

Leslie Nielsen clearly enjoyed playing Santa Claus in All I Want for Christmas, as he reprises the role with pantomimic brio in this cheerful Disney made-for-TV film. Blown off course by turbulence, he crashes his sleigh into Scrooge-like TV reporter Steven Eckholdt's car and suffers amnesia. However, it takes young Max Morrow to realise the implications of Santa's condition and the race to save the festivities begins. As you'd expect of a Hollywood seasonal movie, it's awash with sentimentality and the good old capitalist spirit of giving and receiving. But director William Dear has too much experience to let it descend into mush.
