Synopsis
This penultimate entry in the seven-film series based on the comic novels of Richard Gordon is possibly the least strong in terms of incident, but there are some pleasing performances to ensure it avoids the bottom slot. Demonstrating once again his flair for the debonair, Leslie Phillips just about makes the whole thing worthwhile, but even he struggles with the anaemic story in which a romance with a physiotherapist and a new wonder drug complicate his already hectic love life. Surely it took more than this to tickle the nation's funny bones?
