Synopsis

In Guru Dutt's timeless tribute to love, Pyare (Rehman) falls in love with Jameela (Waheeda Rehman) on first sight -- even though a veil covers her face. Pyare tracks down his lady in a veil, only to discover she's traded veils -- and he's found the wrong girl! As fate would have it, Pyare's mother has already chosen Jameela as his bride. But Pyare, not knowing Jameela is his veiled lady, convinces a friend to marry her instead.
