Synopsis

Two Thousand Women (1944) box art During WWII in occupied France, the Nazis turn a spa hotel into an internment camp for Englishwomen, including nun Rosemary (Patricia Roc), writer Freda (Phyllis Calvert), Bridie (Jean Kent), Muriel (Flora Robson), Clairen (Muriel Aked) and Maud (Renee Houston). Soon, the ladies are hiding Royal Air Force pilots Jimmy (James McKechnie) and Alec (Reginald Purdell). Will the men get smuggled out alive? Frank Launder directs this dramedy.
