Synopsis

Director Renny Harlin pairs high-octane action with the conflicts of everyday life in this film set in the dangerous world of auto racing. Rookie driver Jimmy Bly (Kip Pardue) is pressured by owner Carl Henry (Burt Reynolds) to accept Joe Tanto (Sylvester Stallone) as a mentor. Joe's career ended in an accident, and while working on Jimmy's trust and a comeback, Joe faces a relentless reporter and an ex-wife (Gina Gershon) married to his rival.
