Synopsis
Nearly blind Selma (Björk), a Czech immigrant who dwells in a mental world of fantastical song and dance, performs a haunting act of deliverance when a neighbor (David Morse) steals the money she'd been saving for her young son's vision-saving operation. Vladica Kostic, Catherine Deneuve, Stellan Skarsgard and Cara Seymour co-star in director Lars von Trier's gut-wrenchingly emotional film set in 1960s Washington state.
