Synopsis

Sometimes, the pursuit of happiness leads you to places you least expect. That's the premise behind this romantic comedy starring Colin Firth as a British artist who heads for America when his girlfriend (Minnie Driver) marries another man. In the east coast town of Hope, he discovers that not only optimism, but love, springs eternal. A nurse (Heather Graham) helps him forget about his ex -- until she decides to drop into his life again.
