Synopsis

This is the wartime movie remembered for its Richard Addinsell score, which introduced to the world the massively popular (and ultra-corny) Warsaw Concerto, as irredeemably romantic pianist Anton Walbrook never stops playing it. The impossibly lovely Sally Gray plays the American journalist Walbrook marries and who helps the musician-turned-pilot recover his memory after an encounter with a German bomber. Massive waves of nostalgia will break out among those who saw this film first time out, or on one of its many re-issues, or even on its US release as Suicide Squadron. Actually, it's awfully dull and not particularly well directed, but it's such potent tosh, why quibble?
