Synopsis

A self-educated freethinking woman takes in her adult daughter and grandchild, and encourages them both to follow their dreams. While the grandmother is busy with an ongoing feud with a local doctor, the two younger women overcome their distrust of men and begin to fall in love - one with a lawyer, the other with a wounded soldier.
