Synopsis

Wild West brothers Frank and Jesse James (Henry Fonda and Tyrone Power) turn to a life of crime when a greedy railroad agent kills their mother in this action-filled mixture of fact and fiction that traces the evolution of the James legend, from their Missouri childhood until Jesse's death. The notorious outlaws' exploits robbing trains and holding up banks make them popular folk heroes -- and wanted criminals on the run.
