Synopsis

Invitation to a Gunfighter (1964) box art Confederate soldier Matt Weaver (George Segal) returns to his New Mexico property after the war, only to find it occupied. When Matt tries to kill Brewster, the land developer (Pat Hingle) who sold his house and land, Brewster hires cultured gunslinger d'Estaing (Yul Brynner) to kill Matt. But when d'Estaing learns that Matt is one of the only honest men in town, the hired gun is torn between his notorious reputation and his morals.
