Synopsis

An American PoW escapes a Japanese firing squad and finds shelter with a tribe in the jungle of Borneo. The tribesmen believe the soldier is divine because of his tattoos and make him their honorary king. In return, he is determined to protect them from both British and Japanese forces - but is drawn back into the war when an officer tries to enlist the tribe's help on the British side. Second World War adventure, with Nick Nolte, Nigel Havers, James Fox and Frank McRae.
