Synopsis

This is a well-intentioned sequel to the massively popular Those Magnificent Men in Their Flying Machines from the same director, Ken Annakin, and with many of the same cast, only this time it's about a 1,500-mile car race. It's a long haul, but star Tony Curtis makes the most of the journey and there's a rare opportunity to see Peter Cook and Dudley Moore in the same movie, plus accomplished turns from the likes of Terry-Thomas, Eric Sykes and the splendid Bourvil. What Jack Hawkins is doing in this farrago is hard to fathom, however.
